2005 base c6 coupe ls2
Would it be improper to display the engine size for this base model on hood or front fender? Or, would it look “tacky” being that all it is is a base Ls2 engine? I ordered 2 small chrome and red badges for hood or fender but don’t want people to make fun of it. Thanks

Personally think its tacky but its your car, do what you like

i dont have any problem with that, you are proud of what you have why not show it.

If you like it do it. Truthfully its not for me, but I have seen LS2 badges on cars at Corvette shows.
Just between you and me I have ...... chrome rims and I love them.

Z06/ZR1 lol.. I mean, the base itself is a beautiful car, don't get me wrong I love it. But I wouldn't go struttin around saying 'look at my 6.0 ls2/ls3 or whatever because it's well... nothing special.. People respect it for what it is already. When you boast (not you in particular, just in general) about something basic, it gives off bad vibes in my opinion which make it look 'tacky'. Now if your car had 1000 horsepower and what insane, then do what you want because you can back it up you know what I mean? It's like when people vinyl wrap their civic or veloster bright green. Like other's have said, your car, do what you want but that's just how I see it!

Well.. as far as I know..the LS2 was the only engine available in 2005. Personally I wouldn't add them on mine, body looks better to me plain jane. Hey, your car..a lot of owners don't care for the Corvette chromed flag differential cover plate either..but I do have one of those..it floats my boat so it's on..happy Trails my friend

Thanks, really didn’t know the lingo, understand fully. However, I am proud of what I do have. It runs good too. Added cold air intake, magnaflow exhaust, performance programming. It’s not a z06 or zr2, but it’s enough horsepower for me. Thanks a lot for your reply.

My 05 has the LS2 on my plate frame. Interestingly, my lowly LS2 routinely wins awards at car shows when lined up against every vette gen/model. I don't use it to street race so I guess if that was important to me I would have to buy a dodge demon so I wouldn't have to hang my head.
