Has anyone replaced the microswitch recently?
They don't sell them anymore the whole shifter assembly has to be replaced
There was a thread here a year or so ago about this very subject. As I recall, the switch is just a generic electrical component and can be purchased as such. I'm old and demented so that may not be 100% accurate, but do a search and you will find it. The thread has been active within the past month or so.

If I remember correctly bending the arm of the switch or placing a piece of foam on the arm will do the trick. Or you can tie back or cut off the shifter lock arm thereby eliminating the need for a switch.
Mouser has micro switches that are little closer in design, but will need to be some soldering/crimping since it will not come with the needed end connector to hook back up to the OEM wiring harness.
As stated, if the switch is still working (makes is own contact when the lever is pushed all the way in), just bending the lever more outwards will solve the problem so the switch makes contact when the shifter pushes against the lever.
Myself, I just cheat and pull the switch apart to clean the contacts, the put it back together in the end. There are some small rivets that you will need to punch out, but if you take your time punching them out (allow the ends to fold back in), you can reuse the rivets over again. If not, then they the ends can be drilled off, and you can replace the rivets with small bolts and nuts when you go to clean the contacts on it again.
