I want to order exhaust tips for my 2007 Corvette C6 Convertible. What is the biggest I can go? I will have the older ones removed and the new ones welded on. There is no muffler...
Most of us have 4" Borla or Corsa mufflers that come with the 4" tips. It would be a personal preference as to using the 4" or going to the 5" which both would look good.
Resurrecting this thread with a sort of relevant question:
What is the inlet diameter of the stock quad tips? I believe it to be 2.5", just wanted to get confirmation.

...and want to be sure they will fit. Going to have a muffler shop weld them in. I know the length is correct and outlet size 3.5" sounds good to me.
After much internet searching I found no definitive answer to this question. Luckily at work we have a caliper ruler, and it measures exactly 2.5" for the inlet diameter. This means the above item should fit perfectly.

I decided against the blue tips, not willing to risk that it will look tacky. If the blue was darker it might go well with the Lemans blue, but it is too light.
Exhaust Tips?
