Battery relocation to trunk
Saw a DIY or two on here wish various parts used, anyone used the OEM z06 or ZR1 harness? If not, what parts did you use and what battery did you buy?

My dry sump manual tranny GS coupe came with the battery in the back under the hatch. No idea about cables but I replaced the OE battery with an Odyssey PC1200T AGM Battery. It's just a tiny bit smaller but 100% easier to get in and out of the cubby and used the stock hold down clamp.

For weight savings up front? Or for heat protection? Or both?
Weight savings is easy...there are lighter weight options that you can find with a search here..don't have to relocate at all.
I haven't searched much regarding heat mitigation for the battery.
