My Corsa mufflers had broken up inside making an annoying rattling noise.
Had ordered a Hurst/Hooker exhaust but it was out of stock.
Had a local muffler shop cut off the mufflers, install a straight pipe and then he welded the Corsa tips back on.
Sounds GREAT!
I had a no muffler setup (there were cats tho) on the 89 L98 IROC-Z I had. Sounded good and was generally OK with the volume level but the interior drone on the highway was pretty bad.

If you don't mind me asking...how much did the shop charge you for that?
Corsa mufflers carry a lifetime warranty. If you were the original purchaser you would be able to have the defective mufflers replaced. I had installed Corsa's on my '05 in '06. Last year started to hear a rattling that turned out to be a cracked inlet pipe on one mufffler. Fortunately I'm a pack rat when it comes to saving papers & still had the original invoice. Contacted Corsa & after sending several images & emails back & forth, they sent a complete new set of both mufflers. Just saying......

I'm not the original purchaser but it was too quiet anyway, much better now!
