Default One Year this month

I stumbled quickly and ignorantly into purchasing a 2007 A6 Base Corvette Coupe one year ago this month. At the time, I had no idea as to how much I did not know about Corvettes. The car I bought seemed in like-new condition, and it has actually had very few issues or problems. Two previous owners put about 5,000 miles per year on it, for a total of almost 52,000 when I bought it. Now it has nearly 66,000 miles. I have driven it A LOT. Denver to Flagstaff and back once, Denver to Phoenix and back once, and Daily driving even during the Winter. Dano523 taught me how to clean the induction system and the electrical system components, and how to replace brake rotors and pads. Last month I attended an Open Lapping Track Day at the High Plains Raceway way out East of Denver and had a great time on a racetrack. Last week I put all new Wheels and Summer UHP Tires on it myself. And now I have installed a Vararam Snake Charmer Cold Air Intake.

All Electric everything ... Traction and Yaw Control, a bunch of computers for everything ... Magnetic Shocks ... Leather seats- my passengers just go to sleep. Huge Trunk space. And unbelieveable cornering and handling. The car feels like some kind of Animal, not like a machine.

I absolutely LOVE THIS CAR. Corvettes have got to be some of THE BEST cars ever produced. And the Sixth Generation Corvettes are particularly Great, IMHO.

Thanks to all here for a place to talk about this car, ask questions about it, and generally enjoy it with like-minded owners.

My other Hot Rod is an Airplane.

Congrats!! I have a 2013 and just about 15,000 miles. So it's good to see you are getting use out of yours. I just happened to buy a bike and put 25,000 on the bike in the past 3 years. Lots more fun to me. But, I still love pulling the Z out now and then just for that renewed fun factor.

Enjoy your nice ride!!

You're one lucky guy if ol' Dano's available to consult up-close & personal.

Car must be thoroughly sorted out and best of all?
NOT an 'expensive' vehicle to own.
Not w/ competent technical guidance/advise at hand.
Considering enormous payback w/ performance & splendid driveabilty, it has to be a keeper.

My other Hot Rod is an Airplane.

There's something about Corvettes & pilots.

That yard next door is where a coupla Soy Boys live. I got tired of looking at their yard and mowed it myself. Bunch of 5 year old girls, in school ... we have a lot of rentals in Boulder because of the university.

Boy, this sounds like what happened to me about a year ago, I stumbled into my 2007 A6 Base 3LT knowing almost nothing about modern Corvettes. I did have a 1964 C2 'vert many years ago but there is a world of differences between a '64 and a '07. Mine was a single owner driven about 1,500 miles a year with 18k miles on it, looked new. Reading this forum has sure helped me understand the car better (and provided a lot of laughs). We've done a few short trips and the Mag Ride is really so much better than I'd expected.

0 months into owning a Corvette for me Drove a C5 Z06 back in 03. Loved that car. I need to be a good boy for the next 2 years or so, but I hope to get into the C6 world. I would love a Grand Sport manual coupe.

I lurk this forum quite a bit, and I like the fact that a lot of the maintenance and repairs for these vehicles aren't too involved, and the vehicles tend to be reliable

Mines red but not so bias to not admit that black is where it's at. Best looking color for a C-6.....or any car for that matter. Those wheels look good too. Even though they are factory they look better than any black wheel on any market. Well done !!!!

I'm hit a year ago in February of ownership in my 2007 as well. Nearly daily driving it. My wife and I carpool together, so we swap between her SUV and my Vette. Any excuse to drive the car. Totally agree with you, though. Fun to hang on the forums and get good advice.
