I'm having a Kenwood DNX575s and rear camera installed on 22 July. I would like to have a front camera installed to make it easier to park. Utah is a two plate state that is not enforced so Corvettes run with one plate here. I may be moving to a two plate state soon. Where is a good mounting place for a front plate state car? Van it easily be moved from the usual center location with no front plate?
I'm in a 2 plate state that's also un-enforced. I got tired of bumping my nose on the parking blocks. When I first bought my car the splitter was poorly mounted and every time I would even lightly bump it I would have to re-position it and screw it back on. I mounted one of these on my front bumper. If I ever have to mount a front plate it will be easy to move to another location if/as needed. My Pioneer head unit allows 2 video inputs so I can toggle at will front to back cameras. Life is good. I've not bumped into a parking structure (front or rear) since. Although I have reinforced the splitter with additional screws and fender washers just for additional support.
Been working on installing a new Kenwood head unit for the last couple of days on and off. I bought 2 Clarion cameras, CC720's. They came with a free license plate bracket. I have the Top Flight license plate frame and didn't think I'd be able to use the camera bracket but it has an offset the goes right around the TF bracket so you can mount it mid-center on the plate. It does stick out about 1 1/2" with the camera mounted but it's O.K. for me.
