Has anyone dealt with Modern Gen Auto for parts? I ordered side vent screens for my C6. Got an immediate "your order is in process" email, then crickets. I saw that my credit card was charged last week, so I shot them a quick email asking if the order had been shipped (I haven't dealt with any business that charges before an order is shipped in years). After a day or so I got an email saying "sorry for the delay, the order has not shipped yet" with no other info, like when it might be. Not sure if they're shady at all or if they just need some work on customer communications. Anyone else order anything from them?

They are Corvette Mods. One and the same. Your description of the transaction is not surprising.

Awww crap. I’ll give them a few days and then cancel and dispute the charge if I get crickets from them. Thanks for the info.

Ordered the hydrocarbon rear splash guards for my widebody from them. Arrived in a corvette mods box.

I just received a package from corvette mods yesterday (7/01) I did not order the part sent to me and have not ordered anything from them since sometime in or around 2015. I opened the package and it is a seal of some sort for the rear window of a C3, I don't, nor have I ever owned a C3. Anyway the invoice that was in the package was for some collision/repair shop in California. How they ended up sending it to me I have no idea. I called them to let them know, Told them that the person that actually ordered the part would probably be wondering where their order is.
Was told they would look in to the matter and get back to me. So far I have not heard anything back from them.

Default Update

After a week of asking them where my order is, after they charged my credit card, I asked on July 5th for a final update before I would contact my credit card company and the BBB. The reply was a notice that they printed a mailing label. Doesn’t mean sh^t regarding whether they ever plan to send the part or not. It’s just them trying to buy a few more days. Something tells me I’ll be contacting my card and the BBB on Monday.

UPDATE.....after ModernGen charged my credit card a good week before shipping anything, and although they printed a shipping label and didn't actually ship my item for a few days, it came....intact and as advertised. After reporting all the issues, I wanted to give them props for at least getting me my item in a kinda reasonable amount of time and as advertised.

I hope you learned a available lesson, not to business with them, all you get is sleepless nights wondering where's my part!
