Default Back To The Future

Back in Vette land after a 7 year drought. Sold my 2000 C5 vert (Dark Bowling Green Metallic) in 2012. Just bought a 2010 C6 Grand Sport, torch red coupe. It's an A6 as a concession to my other half, who struggled with the C5. (But at age 71, I do enjoy the A6 in traffic too!). What sold this car was 9790 original miles, and buying from the original owner. It is virtually new, despite being 9 years old. Only squawks so far are the clear (smoked glass) top squeaking on anything other than smooth roads. Looking forward to learning all I can about the changes that have taken place between an early C5 and a late C6. As always, the forums were my go to source when trying to select the right car, and what to look for as problems in various year models. Pics to follow once I get it detailed..

There's info on the forum about various ways to stop the squeaky top. My 2007 squeaked like crazy when I bought the car. One attempt, using several of the fixes, completely silenced it for the additional 2 years I kept it. I lubricated the pins and rollers, and tightened the rear latches down a little.

Congrats. Its definitely a big step up from the C5! The interior alone makes it worth it.

Wow, so the seller been looking at the car more than driving it all these years. Like they say, his or her loss , the next buyer gains.

Not sure how futuristic a C6 is these days but congrats on the acquisition.
