I'm in the process of installing New Lenses, after I complete this I want to put something on them to protect them as this is my DD. I've read where some say they will cause the headlight to get tiny little cracks. Well the reason I'm changing mine is because they have tiny little cracks and they are old, I don't have film on the old one so the above theory is null and void to me. I see that NotSoFast has them on his car in a dark gray and they look real nice. I'm wondering who are the leading manufacturers on this product. Do they come in a dark red because my car is CRM and I think that would look good. Any Help is greatly appreciated.

I've been at this headlight thing going on 12 years and have seen thousands of C6 headlights. I've seen the crazing in a lot of lights that had the film and many more that didn't have the film. I think it's a matter of environment as these have came from all over. GM stated for years in the manual and Dealer DVD NOT to put film on the headlights as it would retain and slow down the heat dissipation. Maybe, maybe not. I believe at the end of the day it's the luck of the draw just how long the plastic is going to hold up in your given environment the car is exposed to.

Thanx for your reply, now if I could just find some in Red Smoke that would make my day.
