I use the high pressure coin operated washes all the time but spray alone does not make for a clean vehicle. It does get the bird **** off.

2 Bucket wash or Wolfgang Rinseless wash if it's not too dirty. Automated washes with brushes will leave swirls/scratches over time. You are also taking a chance on wheel damage against the rails. Most washes can tell you if its safe for low profile wheels/ tires. Some will have a disclaimer stating they are not responsible. I use automated washes with my truck. It's only a year old and has been through the wash 10-12 times, and it could already use paint correction due to me not wanting to take the time to hand wash. For me, I would rather use an automated wash and deal with the scratches on my DD, but never on the Corvette.

I used the pull through washes in my Camaro, wife's traverse and other vehicles. However, the Grand Sport's tires are too wide for the pull and I wouldn't want to go through it anyway. I haven't used a touchless ones as I hear they use very harsh chemicals to get it clean without touching. Though, may reconsider when the winter gets here since mine is my DD and it will help with the under carriage cleaning.
Anyway I like washing the car myself, and it is one of the easiest cars to wash since it sits low. A quick clean and then a leaf blower to dry it off works like a charm. I do use the self wash with the high pressure system myself many times in a pinch and use the high-speed drying system in Mexico.
I need to get one of the foam attachments for my pressure washer and have the best of both worlds.

I parked at Wally's yesterday and some moron parked next to me, not happy but they didn't hit the car.
I would use a touchless carwash if I knew where one was near me.

If I got touchless washes here in the boonies, you MUST have some nearby! They don't really say "Touchless" on the signs, you prolly gotta drive in the lot and look at them.

I wash mine by hand. if it's a car wash, I would just do a manual one to wash it with the power washer wand. I took my 98 through a touch-less drive through once...... ran like $h!t for 10 minutes and filled my driving lights with water LOL

Both the C6 and C7 don't have that problem. The tops don't leak either.

.I just use Chadwicks, and don't have to wash. When extremely dirty, I just use a power washer with water, or in the winter I use a coin operated wash. There was an article about brush auto car washes damaging paint, and the touchless use a harsher chemical to clean the car.

I ONLY use touchless car washes, one time I took my C6 into the dealer to have some work done and they ran it through their wash that has those nylon bristle wheels and it put scratches all over the car..it took forever to get them out.
