My understanding was that the window valet worked on both of these. Is there a different window valet part for the 2008 C6 base vs the 2009 C6Z06 or will one work on both? It's is working fine in my Z06, but when trying it in my new to me C6 base, nothing happens. Thoughts anyone? Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question. I have a base 2013 and no problems with mine. I would suggest sending an email to TopDownTech and pose the question to them: support@topdowntech.com
I've used the Window Valet on two separate C6s (2006 and 2011) and it worked fine for both. Sorry you're having an issue!
I've had them in my C5 and my C6 Z06 and worked fine. It's a great product.
My question/problem is when taking one from My 2009 C6 Z06 and trying to use it in my 2008 C6 base, it's NOT working in the C6 base.
Trying to see if anyone has a fix or is it a bad unit, IF in fact it is supposed to work in both and doesn't need a different one.
Anyone switched from one to the other with success? Anyone? Thoughts?

Just a follow up for those that are interested. As mentioned I'd email them and received this reply from President of TopDown Tech, Michael Fuller.
I followled his instructions listed below and everything is working great now. A big Thank you to michael. Hope this is helpful to others.
He says:

An non-responsive C6 almost always needs its windows re-index'd. The C6 owner's manual describes the process. In summary: 1) Fully lower the window with the driver door window control button. 2) Raise the window with the door button but continue to hold the button for 3 additional seconds after the window reaches the top window seal. 3) Release the button, and the press up again for 3 additional seconds.
Do this for each window. This resets the window position sensors in the C6. The Window Valet needs those sensors to know where the windows are.

i've always been here, just on the C6Z06 section, not having a base C6 until now. Will be on this C6 section more now though.
Have to start getting Sunny ready for HAN soon. He's outside under a cover, until I sell the Z06. Hope to see you out there for HAN.
