I have a 2005 a4 car with an ecs system that I am thinking about selling. Since it has some custom stuff I really have no idea how to price it. Whats the market like? The car has 90k miles, the blower has like 2000 miles on it. It also has a GM reman trans in it that still has more than 2 years and 98k miles worth of warranty left. The car is a 10 ouside of a rock chip or scratch here and there. What you guys think?
I have a'05 bone stock z51, m6, all options both tops 54000 miles clean car very good condition. I was offered 16k sight unseen trade in yesterday. I think I could get 19k selling it myself. Personally I wouldn't be interested in a modded car but I hope my reply helps you out.
Conventional wisdom is you never get your money back for modifications.... Consider all modifications to add zero value to the car and you have it's value.
Depending on the kit, blowers seem to have a decent resale market. You might consider taking it off and selling separately. If you serious about selling I'd price it at $17k with or without the blower and take the first $15K that came around.
