I have a 2006 triple black convertible that I purchased last August. My insurance company will give me a small discount if I can prove my Vette has an anti-theft system. I assume it would be listed on the window sticker. Does anyone know how I can get copy of my window sticker? I believe the corvette museum offers this service , but I think it's expensive if memory serves.

Commerce Insurance. Had to do it with other vehicles.

 

Send them a link for the 2006 owners manual? Or spend $100 for a sticker from NCM. Someone posted recently there's another, cheaper, source. I'll try to dig it up.

Exactly the same for whatever Vin # as per this 2006 coupe

 

If you don't wanna spend the money buying one thru NCM, if you know someone at a Chevy dealership they can print the list of option/build sheet from the GM Global Connect with your VIN#...

 

A window sticker from the Corvette Museum is the best and only option as far as I know to prove what's on your car and it's not that expensive - $100 for non-members. But how much is the discount and how long are you planning on keeping the car? If the discount is $10 a year, you buy the $100 sticker and keep the car 5 years, you've lost $50. So do the math and see if the cost to benefit ratio is reasonable. If not, no need for the discount or sticker.

Isn't the deterrent system standard ?? Sounds like "Bogus Hairy" insurance to me. I tthink i'd be searching for a new insurance co. if they didn't have access to this info.

 

If your referencing the GM VIS Report, most of the standard equipment will not show up on that report.
