I hit a pothole like 3 years ago and never really looked at it due to the fact that nothing was wrong with the car. Didn't have any leaks any issues anything like that.

I know this is cracked. I guess my million dollar question is where it is cracked is that part of the frame?

If you look at the 3rd picture its scraped on the front side and then it goes up towards the motor and its cracked on the back end.

Radiator support bracket. Most just have it welded. Do a forum search on radiator support bracket for complete discussion on options.

Yes, it is the radiator support bracket. It's not too difficult to replace, the only problem is that it is aluminum and will bend or break again if you are not careful. There are some protective skid plates that you can buy to put over it but they will do no good if they take a big hit like yours did. Here is what it looks like new.

Cool. Thank you for the quick reply.

I will look at fixing this next.

Finally got my Door Latch replaced so I can now open my driver door from the outside and just put new tires and brakes so Ill knock this out in about 6 months.

Like the others have said, that is not frame damage but simply the radiator support

Easy repair, you just need something to hold up the radiator when you remove the support. I also had mind powder-coated black. I use some homemade ramps to get a little extra room under the car.

If you change it, make sure about the nut inserts. This is the one I used.

Don't know that I would have modified the bracket any at all. The sharp angle at the front should help it not slide back when it gets struck against the pavement, and drilling a hole thru the radiator support will weaken it. So, if I was going to go with this bracket, I'd install it as the company made it and intended it to be. But, Froggy is right, anything that makes that radiator support closer to the pavement is going to result in it making contact with the road surface more often. I'd definitely stay away from a bracket with a wheel on it since that really makes it more likely to be struck sooner and more often by the road surface, and it's more likely that the radiator support/guard will get damaged. I've struck my radiator support a few times and I've decided to just leave well enough alone rather than adding anything that will make contact with the road surface any more likely.

I installed the "Fangs" from Sac City Corvette and am sure glad I did. On two different occasions I felt them glide the radiator supports over the obstacle that normally would have ground off metal from the supports. Once coming out of the local post office and once leaving a gas station. The driveway to street angle in both cases is designed for SUV's and pickups. Corvettes? Not so much. I think that saccitycorvette.com is a vendor. Look 'em up.
