So everything I read and youtube about this, it does not do what I would like it to do.
I am looking for something that will do auto up on the windows while I am driving the car like my Mitsubishi does. Is there anything like that for our cars?
C6's are auto down only - I'm not aware of anything that adds an auto up function. I live in a large community with gates that require either pushing a button on a kiosk or presenting a gate card to a reader on that kiosk, so I have to roll my windows down each time I leave my neighborhood and enter another and every time I come from anywhere outside of my neighborhood. My previous vehicle had auto up/down, my C6 does not. But the windows are small enough and go up so quick, I don't find this to be much of an inconvenience at all.
Yes I agree with you. Just trying to figure out why anyone would spend $140 on this thing that adds nothing to the window feature. I can, as you said, roll my own windows up & down. Weather the windows open as I'm getting into the car or I open them when I get in makes no difference, Its still hot in the car.
Now if someone could invent something that would add the auto-up feature to my car, that I would purchase.

Right, it's not for everyone. I looked into it and didn't feel the benefit was worth the cost. It would be nice to roll the windows down remotely and then just be able to reach in and pull the targa top off vs. having the get the FOB inside the car, turn on the power, roll the windows down, then kill the power, take the top off, stow it, and then get back in the car. But I wouldn't use that enough to purchase the device.
Yes, I just open the doors and remove the top. You have to open the doors either way.
I paid like $25 for the dongle that allows me to read codes. Best $25 I've ever spent.
you can put the window up or down remotely.
Works great for getting out of the car in a tight garge, get out with window down and then you use your fob to put the window up.
Also can program so that when you pull up emg brake it unlocks pass door.

I agree. It is a huge help getting out of your car when you cannot open the door all the way, like in my garage. Leaving the windows down with the door only partially open is way easier. You don't have the glass angling toward you. After you are out of the car, 3 pushes on the fob and the windows go up. I have zero physical limitations and it is still a big advantage. All of you guys who are not as agile as you once were should try it.
I have had one for 7 years, love it! Specially when walking our to the car sitting in the sun, before I even get there I drop the window expel the heat!

Yes, but I would like something that has auto up. My passenger can reach down and pull the handle next to the seat to get out if I cannot afford to put the car in park. I believe Cadillac has auto up, is there anything we can change with Caddy parts to make it so?

I don't get it? Call me stupid or maybe I missed something? If for whatever reasons you need windows up or down and you are in the car why can't you raise or lower them for the convenience of your passenger?
This thread just made me purchase window valet haha. Didn't even know about it and it is a good feature to have for me, with targa top removal/installation and also I always have the windows down after parking from driving, thinking I will go on a cruise again soon, but sometimes don't... now I'll be able to roll them up through fob, along with venting the car on hot summer days, thanks for posting this!
My 08Z widow seals are pretty air tight, if my windows are up and doors closed the hatch won't close right because of the air pressure in the cab. I don't like having to force the hatch closed. I pretty much purchased the window valet to remedy this. Now, when I'm out shopping I just use the fob to open widows and hatch closes correctly without having to force hatch closed. I do enjoy the extra bonus of letting car vent on hot days before I get in and car horn will honk if someone tampers with the door handle is also a nice feature.
I like it for the fact that I can low the windows for quick access (ducking into the car for my phone). You can also vent the windows by hitting lock 3 times (there’s another sequence to not make the horn honk).
I’m not sure how because I’ve never tried to use it, but you can also see the last max RPM/Speedo reading from a reset. Ferris Bueller...
As for the auto-up, you should be able to hit the fob lock 3 times - even while in gear.
