i got a problem with drivers side door it will never open unless you press the remote i think there is a transmitter issue problem . passenger side works fine i changed the remote battery still wont work
yeah thought so do you think its a fuse or shall i take it to the dealer u don't think i can fix it maybe fuse or something easy to change
Chances are fairly good that it's just a dirty door pad that needs the contacts cleaned. Two screws and a connector (don't let the wiring fall back into the door) to remove and 6 (IIRC) more to dissemble.
Pencil eraser or contact cleaner solves the problem. The alternate is buying a new pad. About $15-20.
Right and left door pads are identical, if you want to swap them to test the circuitry first.

The door does NOT open "when the remote comes near the car". The door unlocks when a series of events takes place that are initiated by you pressing a button somewhere. You can do a search to find the sequence. Also there is a single fuse inside the Body Control Module computer that powers both doors so that isn't the problem either.
If pressing a button on the FOB allows the door to open but just trying to open it with the FOB within 3 feet of the door you want opened doesn't, then it probably isn't the pads. But, since the pads are a very likely source of opening issues it is certainly worth doing the search for how to clean them. There are many.
But before spending a lot of time fixing multiple parts, lets try diagnosing the problem to identify which part is bad. Start with he doors locked and the FOB at least 10 feet away from the car. Try to open the door. Does the red light come on consistently indicating the door is locked? If it doesn't come on every time you squeeze the pad then the pad is just dirty and that is the problem. If the light does consistently come on then get the FOB and open the door. With the door open press the pad. Do you consistently hear a click at the latch? If not then it is the latch that is dirty. There are instructions for cleaning the latch here also if you do a search. If there is a consistent click then it is probably the alignment of the latch. Also covered in previous posts. Finally, if all the above fails to resolve the issue then you do have an unusual problem most likely with the driver door transmit antenna in the B-Pillar. Or it could be a problem with the driver's door relay inside the BCM computer. Both will most likely require a dealer visit if you aren't comfortable with working on cars and electronics.
i can open the locking buy pressing the button but id like it to open the lock by it self i might take a visit to the dealer to fix this issue its stupid but i want to fix it the drivers side issue
thanks all

any photo of the pads ? do they have anything to do with the keyless entry so it can open when the remote comes near the car ?
The pads are what you squeeze with your fingers when you grab the door to open it. And yes, they are a part of the keyless entry. Open the door and look where your fingers were. That's a pad.
Passive Door Unlock: This option
allows you to select which doors will
automatically unlock when you
approach and open the driver door
with the RKE transmitter. See Door
Locks on page 2‑6 for more
information.
Press the OPTION button until
PASSIVE DOOR UNLOCK appears
on the display, then press the
RESET button to scroll through the
following modes:
. DRIVER
. BOTH (default) If you choose DRIVER, only the
driver door will automatically unlock
when you approach and open the
driver door with the RKE transmitter.
If you choose BOTH, both doors will
automatically unlock when you
approach and open the driver door
with the RKE transmitter.
You cannot disable passive unlock at all. In fact, you can't keep the passenger door from opening if someone has a valid fob and presses the PS door pad (even in gear). The best/most you can do is when the DS door is unlocked, you can choose whether or not the PS door also unlocks (and allows someone w/o a valid fob from entering).
