I’ve got a 2006 convertible. 60k miles, driven on occasional weekend road trips. This weekend the wife and I took it on a 600 mile trip. About 80 miles to the first stop, i’d get a random chime sounding exactly like the ones u get when u push the buttons on RH side of dash. Trip, fuel, etc.. later on in the trip, the chime would come in random increments..1 and then nothing for long periods.. then ding, space, ding, ding, space ding, then 2/3 more then nothing.. this happened several times.. today on way home (300 miles) we drove for a few hours before I’d hear it beep. I made it a point to not touch the buttons and leave it only on one, but that didn’t work either as it would beep again. Overall today it beeped much less than yesterday. I cycled thru all the buttons and they all worked correctly, no msgs in display, everything shows correctly, was driving fast today in 100 degree weather, made no difference. Checked to see no buttons stuck, I’ve read thru all the forums I cld find on this and it sounds like it’s happened to many with no solution being shown. The only thing I’ve not checked/noticed was if the emergency brake makes a difference. It has happened in the past, but like once in great while and only one beep, then no more. Knees not hitting anything, battery in car is good, seatbelts buckled, etc.. has anyone found out what is causing this? It can go hours without a problem, or can beep randomly in minutes.. thanks for any help.
Forget to turn your turn directional off! Sometimes when you make an incomplete turn on a curved road, the directional won't cancel, and it dings as a reminder. It's rare, but happened to me several times.

I had the exact same thing going on with my 2007 coupe. I couldn't fine anything wrong. I took it in for new tires and told them to change out the TPMS sensors, because I had no idea how old they were. That was 2 months ago and I haven't heard the beep since.
