I have a 2008 C6,currently at the shop. Vehicle seems to start off in 3 gear. Drive in auto trans car will shift correctly. Put car in manual paddle shift display just scrolls will not go into first gear.
No codes showing per mechanic and not a transmission concern.
Anyone experience this problem and please any suggestions.
I have a 2006 A6 and with over 1000,000 miles, I have not experienced this thus far.
Get the mechanic to check all the electrical connections at the transmission for bent pins, or dirty contacts. Get him to clean them up, put some dielectric grease and reconnect. Hopefully that is your issue.

Well it took about a month to learn that it was the Transmission Control Module which is housed in the transmission. Now the part has been ordered from GM but guess what They Are On Strike!!!!
Oh well patience the virtue..could ha e been worst issue.
