I had no intention of adding another car to my 2 cars because my garage is already full. When my brother in law decided to thin his herd a little and said he was selling his 07 Z06 I had to ask what he wanted for it. He made me a deal I could not say no to. I had seen the car and driven his 06 years ago but not this one, so I said I’ll buy it. No place to store it but I’ll figure that out. 1 month later we arranged for me to take my 72 down to his huge garage and store it and I’ll drive the Z back. Well that was yesterday and a 5 hour trip back and I’m hooked on these. What a difference. I have the 72 and a Factory five Cobra. It’s a beast but like riding a bucking bronco. The Z is more like riding a fine thoroughbred horse. It is modified and puts down 540 rwhp so it is pretty fast and it handles and is comfy to ride in. I got out after 5 hours and felt great. A 1/2 hour in the Cobra and you feel like you went a few rounds with Mike Tyson. Maybe I’m getting older and appreciate the finer things in life but having AC and a stereo and modern things on a car sure beats the raw older ones. So currently the Cobra is for sale and the 72 may not be far behind. Maybe I’ll sell all 3 and get a C8. For now the Z has been a step in the right direction.

Yup, give me a modern car with all the bells and whistles, thank you!
The Z06 has had a cam, headers, full exhaust, LSX intake and a bigger throttle body. The valves were checked at 15K when the cam was done and that is first on my list o things to do. I am well aware of he head issue.
The 72 has an 09 LS3 in it with a T56 and full coil over suspension plus a lot more done to it. Far from stock.
The Cobra which currently is for sale is a Factory Five roadster with a 540 HP injected 408 plus a myriad of other options. My son says he wants the 72 but really only for nostalgic reasons. He can’t even drive a stick. So we shall see.
