Default Balancer issues

I own a 05 base purchased it from a dealer over a year ago. It is stored winters 6 months. I had taken it back to the dealer where it purchased it before the 3 month warranty was up because of the wobble. The tech at the time said the balancer was fine. I argued it was not fine but to no avail. Fast forward 1 year yesterday I checked the balancer witch I have been doing closely the balancer bolt has come loose! I can move it with my finger. Isn’t there a recall on the earlier build 05 with this issue.

Yes there was a TSB on some of the 05 cars when it was discovered they had not been torqued properly at the factory

I think my Vette falls under the early product number.09205.
Not sure if the dealer would honor this fix ?

I doubt it. If memory serves (and being old, it may not) recalls like this only go back 10 years.

EDIT: Where in Upstate are you? I'm between Honeoye and Canandaigua Lakes, south of Rochester.

Love the finger lakes region, I usually visit Keuka or Cayuga on Bass fishing tournaments every year...take care of those lakes please, they are awesome!

Yes, the glaciers did a terrific job here 20,000 years ago!

I was to my niece's place on Keuka Lake on Saturday; they are on the west side of the west fork, between Branchport and Penn Yan.

I had to fight my way through the bustling Main Street of Branchport on the way. If you look close you can see the red light at the center of town:

On the way home, on Italy Hill:

No, but there was a TSB issued about the problem. TSBs are not like a recall in that GM is NOT required to fix the problem.

I live near Moravia ny. I will have van bortel do the balancer replacement. Excellent service and workmanship. I will have them come pick it up in their enclosed trailer.
