I have never had a car that seemed to get bug hits like this one. It has become habit to clean the brake dust from the wheels, whip out the detailer and microfiber rag, and the window cleaner and towel to get all the bugs after every drive. Anybody else notice this?
Hot water on a microfiber softens the chitin and makes them wipe right off. Especially if you have a good wax base or ceramic coating to remove them from.
I solved the brake dust issue with ceramic pads, but the bugs on the front bumper, rearview mirrors and windshield have not been solved.
Without using a front bra, there is little one can do if you drive it in the summer months. Long road trips require washing the bugs off after each day of driving, just so they won't melt into the paint.
I keep the front bumper and mirors well waxed, and use detailer to soften and wipe away the bugs.
On road trips, I always pre map self serve car washes on the NAV in the places we are stopping for the night. It's an aftermeal ritual, a dessert for the car if you will.
Here is a pic after a 7 hour drive, during a road trip after the bug off at a self serve wash. (In Roanoke Rapids NC)
not sure about having more bug issues. unless it has something to do with it sitting lower.
I would also like with having a better coefficient of drag might contribute some to ( less air being pushed out of the way ).
before & during my road trip last year ( week before memorial day ), driving cross country ( cal to corvette museum and back,
I thought about trying t clean the ride 'clean'. after a few days, decided to only clean the windshield.
I felt bad for a second after pulling into the museum but, figured what the hell, it's only a car, I can clean it later.
badges of honor I say!

My vinyl nose mask keeps bugs away from the paint. I remove it after a highway run and always make sure it is tight.
I don't think they aim for or stick to the fronts of our cars more than our previous ones, I just think we pay more attention now that we own a car that does more than just get us from point A to B.
Let's face it, we know people pay more attention to us than the average sedan or SUV. Heck, we looked at them more even before we became owners, so it stands to reason that we would notice more cosmetic "flaws" or take better cosmetic care of them than we did of our utilitarian POSs.
It's now become a point of pride.
It's probably the reason that we get minor boo-boos fixed that the average Camry or Sentra owner is not going to do.
Don't know where you're at, but I know here in Montana we have more bugs this year than usual due to a wetter spring, and early summer, especially grass hoppers
