Going to look at a 2011 GS convertible only 9000 miles on it. I am familiar with most of the C6 issues but not familiar with convertibles or GS. Any tips on things to look out for?
I have a 2011 GS Vert. Have had virtually zero issues with it. Some folks have mentioned the convertible top rubbing the tonneau cover going up and down but I have not had that issue. Others have mentioned issues with the harmonic balancer, though that could be for all models of the C6. Nothing really comes to mind as far as anything specific to the GS to look out for. Hope all goes well for you.
My only thoughts would be to make sure to check the DOT on each tire. At 8 to 9 years old with only 9K miles, the car might have the original tires. They’d be aged out by now and need to be replaced.
Thanks, car was really clean and everything seemed very good. Pretty sure tires are original but that's it. Now I have to make a decision.
Also considering 427 convertible but a little uneasy with possible head issues.

Head issues are very rare, and can be tested for with a valve wiggle test.
Really it boils down to price and use. If it's just a cruiser, the 427 (and GS) are overkill. But if the thought of a 500hp 427 excites you, then it could be worth the price jump.
A 427 vert is the only c6 I would consider owning after having 3 c6s. But I like the roofless option, and since they didnt make a targa 427, it's the only way to go.

We did in our 2011 GS vert, but it didn't amount to much. No rubbing or bumping when folding down but a bump when putting the top back up. We simply reached back and pulled the back glass slightly forward when raising the top. There is a fix for it somewhere on this board, but we were never concerned enough about it to fix it.
We much enjoyed our GS and consider it a terrific car. You will not be disappointed.
We trudge on.

I, too, have an '11 GS with almost 50k miles and virtually no problems. The tonneau does contact the glass when the top is going up or down but not enough to bother. If you are going tp re[lace with run flats figure $2000.including a four-way alignment.
