Speaker grill hitting dash??
When I first got this car, I noticed a few scratches near the driver's air vent. Chalked it up to wear and tear...
Recently, though, I observed that the driver's speaker grill makes contact with the air vent area when the door is shut.
Comparing the doors, it is clear that the driver's door is far more snug (indeed, to close).
Normal margin of error in manufacturing? Chassis flex over time?
No accidents!
Not looking to fix it, but very curious...

There are adjustments for the door. How does the panel gaps compare to the drivers and passenger doors?
Maybe the drivers door is too far forward. If so, you would have a larger gap at the rear qtr than at the front qtr. Body shop could easily adjust the door for you.

The first thing I would try is to remove the knee panel below the steering wheel and instrument panel. Then try to set instrument panel on that side up and back just by pushing.
1 - Check the door outside panel gap alignment first.
Adjusting the door, may be the easiest.
2 - Dash Pad alignment.
This could be harder.
Yes, I'd start by removal of the knee bolster under the steering wheel and the dash panel containing the AC vent.
Look for broken loose of missing attachments or screws.
Has the dash ever been out of the car?
That's where it could get involved getting to the dash pad retainers that are out of alignment.
Let us know what you find. Good luck.
FWIW to repair the scratches on the dash I could suggest a felt ink marker instead of paint.
No idea if dash has ever been out, but I see no evidence of monkey business!
