Default What diff do I have?

2011 GS vert auto. The sticker on the back cover says 2.73 the characters ACWF-00473 and then what I believe to be the GM part number of 24239680. Problem with this is that number doesn't correspond with my factory service manual. Can anyone verify what part number this is?

Looks like this is an 08 Z06 Diff.

Which brings up the question, what if any difference is there between the factory diff and this one?

All of the GS (2010-2013) automatic cars got the 2.73 axle ratio

So I talked to a gentleman at RPM and he said that the GS can have wonky part numbers and that I probably have a stock factory installed differential even though the part number shows for an 08. I just wanted to make sure I get one that is bolt in without any modifications needed.

Why do you need to replace the diff ?

Backlash noise since the day I bought it. Last week it suddenly got a little louder. Don't have the time or the special tools to rebuild it since I might be getting rid of it and don't want the next guy to have to deal with it.

Assuming you have OEM size (dia) tires, 75 MPH in 6th gear requires:
1600 RPM for a 2.56 gear
1700 RPM for a 2.73 gear
2100 RPM for a 3.42 gear

Since the difference between the 2.56 and 2.73 is pretty insignificant, either one would be a satisfactory simple bolt in replacement.
