I don't know if it works, but it sounds like you can "tune" the throttle response to the way you want to drive it. It adjusts the sensitivity curve of the accelerator pedal to the throttle body servo.
I.E. My 2005 GTO at 1/8 throttle is way faster than even 1/4 throttle in the 'Vette, the goat's pedal is very touchy in comparison. Gotta go more than 1/2 throttle in the 'vette, then it begins to pick up. (maybe throttle is the wrong term, gas pedal 1/2 way to the floor does not necessarily = 1/2 throttle with a drive-by-wire)

I've looked at these devices too and considered taking the plunge. One of the reasons I was interested is that I didn't care for the lame throttle response since the ECM calibration is not linear as shown on this chart. It makes a relatively powerful engine feel rather limp wristed until you've pushed it down a long way.
I have no experience with the Pedal Commander, but I do have the Vitesse in my car and am very happy with it. The ability to make the throttle more linear (ie. 1-1 ratio between the pedal and throttle) makes the car much more enjoyable, especially with a 6MN.
IB4 "you know who" shows up.
I thought that was settled, and the member issued a chargeback ? I know, whistling past the graveyard..........
I
There is a long line of unhappy campers last I heard, a lot more than one. I guess we'll see if he shows up.
And now some positive news, I saw a discount code for Pedal Commander today "DONRON5", it was on a Challenger forum but I'm assuming it will work, or at least worth a try if someone is buying one. I didn't see what the discount was.
Personally I'm using the Vitesse Throttle Controller, no special reason other than I picked up a used one for $60. It's another fun toy to play with. I'd be curious to know what the major differences between the Pedal Commander and Vitesse are, if any.

I have the Vitesse that i picked up in the FS section and it does what it says. No issues with mine, and no CEL
i have in a pedal commander of my 08 and very pleased with it. Does much better than a tune. Had mine
tuned a few years ago and never liked the throttle response. When I went with the commander there was
a big difference. You have the option of many different settings.
My guess is that the doubters never used one

I’m skeptic here as well, so for the heck of it I ordered one for my 2013 GS. I was initially debating between this and the Sprint Booster. So we’ll see.
I have a device like it called Sprint Booster (https://www.sprintboosterusa.com/) on my 2014 4Runner (daily driver). The 4Runner has a really weak throttle curve which makes it feel like it has no horsepower. Couple that with lifting it and installing bigger tires and armor and it really felt like a dog. The device is easy to install and it made a HUGE difference in the response of the throttle. I liked it better than the Pedal Commander as it's smaller and easier to hide out of the way. They'll run sales on them often btw.
I tend to agree, but I guess the attraction to these units are the ability to change or adjust the scaling on the fly and not have to rewrite a tune every time you want to make a change. No HPTuners, no licensing, etc. It ain't for me, but I can see the attraction.
I looked into both the Vitesse and Pedal Commander when I first got my GS. I ended up not getting one. They work by intercepting the signal from the throttle sensor at the gas pedal and sending along a "corrected" signal to the ECU. The main benefit of these devices is that you can control how aggressive the throttle is. If your car is tuned, just have the tuner remap the throttle table to be more linear.

I have a Vitesse on a manual Grandsport. Set it to 0 when the car is cold and leaving the neighborhood or in traffic. Settled on 4 for normal driving. 4 is enough to get the wheels chirping at a stop light (all season tires) for some launch fun without having to rev and drop the clutch. Cranking it up higher easily allows for full on wheel spin. It makes the car drive much better for normal speeds although the downside is that it is jumpy at low speeds trying to maintain very little throttle. I just switch it to 0 which is the same as stock for those driving conditions.

FWIW, I have mine set on 5 in my 13 GS 6MN, which is the closest to a true 1:1 ratio of pedal to throttle.
I would do this.
I had a pedal commander on my Ram 2500 and it was great, but it was still under warranty and I didn't want to have issues when it came time to have it serviced, which a tune would do.
