Hello fellow Corvette pilots! I'm tying to confirm a bad temp sensor. Here are my symptoms...
After driving about 2 hrs at 78mph average, my temp gage read only 100 degrees. I checked the DIC display and it showed "XXX" instead of a number. I switched the DIC to oil temp and it read normal, around 225-230. Coolant level was normal with no leaks. So I'm thinking bad sensor. Am I on the right track? Thanks in advance for all input and advice.
You likely have a bad coolant temp sensor or connector/wires issue. The Temp sensor is found behind the alternator in front left side of left cylinder head.
