I bought 05 Vette and was cleaning the windshield and found this cable behind the rear view mirror l looked behind the mirror and no place to plug in to. Thanks for the help
Looks like someone had a radar detector hard wired to the fuse panel down in the passenger foot well. Probably runs along the entire windshield header and down the A pillar to floor.

The cable is for powering a Radar Detector. Connected (half tapped) to battery & ground plug behind mirror.
Eliminates need for power plug hanging from Detector to cigarette lighter plug
A company called Blendmount sells Radar Detector mounts that hang off the mirror, they sell this wire kit.
