Service Charging System
Couple of days ago I got a Service Charging System message at a red light. By the next red light I had messages stating just about any other system you can think of were no longer working. ABS, Traction, Shocks...you name it.
Car died a couple minutes later. I pushed it to a parking lot. I have replaced the alternator at lunch today, and after jump starting the car the battery didn't hold a charge. Having the battery charged and tested now.
Any thoughts on alternate solutions?

It's most likely a bad cell in the battery. Have it load tested. If it was jumpered, then it's likely toast. A jump usually shocks the plates and all the loose material fall to the bottom of the battery causing a short across the cells. Once this happens, then the battery will no longer hold a charge for very long.
The C6 does strange electrical stuff when the battery is weak.

Since the car did this while running, my first guess would be your alternator went out, and so the car was running on the battery until it died, which also damaged the battery due to being drained flat. This is a common theme, alternator goes out and takes the battery with it. I suspect you'll have to replace both.

I am guessing after you replace the alternator and battery your troubles will be over.
Sooooo. Still chasing this problem, thought it has branched out.
Replaced the alternator in Dec (it was fine btw...I was just too distracted to put the old one back in). Car started and ran fine for a few weeks. Then came back at me w/ not starting all the time (including when I went to have it appraised for a trade in after it ran fine for several days). When I pushed the ignition button it would power everything off for a few seconds and then recycle, but no starting. Went after the possible relay issue shown in the youtube video, found none w/ scoring but went down the line swapping new one in none the less.
For the next couple weeks, car would start sometimes, not others. Run fine for days then hit me again w/ not starting. A couple of weeks ago I was driving home from picking up my son from school early it started up w/ all the messages again, first time since swapping the alternator. Since I was close by I stopped at Autozone to have the code read. Bad ignition switch. Ordered and swapped it out. Car started several times that Sunday. On Monday I was back to the powering everything down cycle when I pushed the ignition button but joined by a loud 'click'. Made an appointment at the dealer for next available w/ a loaner (which would have been tomorrow). More youtube research while I waited, check the starter. This is fun, btw, when the car is in the garage with the passenger side along the wall and you don't have a low profile floor jack...but we got it up on stand through good old fashioned Redneck Engineering. Starter was bad. Swapped it out. Car ran just fine and dandy for the past week...so I naturally cancelled my appointment at the dealer w/ a loaner car. And today I'm back to 'click' and a power cycle...
I am not mechanically inclined, though I have managed to pull off some of the simpler work with direction. I am at my wit's end.
Does anyone have a suggestion of what to check next?

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Going through this exact same thing. Though it was my battery, which has been draining constantly last season and this for couple weeks (batt only year old). For sure the C6 has parasitic draws. Ordered a new battery (stronger one to hopefully prevent the draining issue) But same exact thing, car would not start again with new battery.
Loud click, power there, but no start. My Vette mechanic said it was starter. I have headers, car is an 08 on original starter. Car drove fine to get to mechanic, but when it's hot, won't restart. We pretty much confirmed it was starter because they banged on the starter and car started. I went home MAKING SURE NOT TO shut off car, or it likely won't start until cooled down. New starter needed and was on order, but reading that you replaced your starter and still doing it. Maybe possibly because your starter being bad and draining down battery, your, and my battery as well are no good anymore? I will likely replace the battery when they do the starter.
These are my thoughts, I am not a mechanic, just trying to problem solve as I keep reading about how once AC Delco Batteries in particular have died a few times, they are never the same, despite keeping on a charger while car not driven.
Appreciate any more help on this. I am in process of ordering new starter. Rock auto has a few options. Priciest is the GM remanufactured one around $350. Can get a NEW Delco one, not one that came with it, but says it fits, same specs from what I can read and half the price. Don't know what to do?
Appreciate any help!!! Driving is the one pleasure we can do while this Virus is traumatizing the world. Some Corvette therapy is much needed right now.
