Default MGW Shifter Installed!

Got my new MGW shifter installed tonight with the help of a friend. Wasn't too bad at all. The video was really helpful. And it feels great! It'll take some getting used to. This is the first manual I've owned and the shifts are way closer now. But I really love the feel. Highly recommended! And the gripper **** looks great.

After driving my GS for 6 years I finally got to drive a friends MGW GS not long ago. Yea it was a totally different experience to say the least. Not my cup of tea but I'm glad I got to experience it.

Look into doing the Anti-Venom mod and it will feel even better.

One of the best mods I've done on my Z06. Did it on my previous C6 as well. So much better than stock (which feels incredibly sloppy in comparison).

I agree. I prefer the MGW with the stock **** but it was a little too tall for my taste, so I cut about an inch or so off the top of the MGW stick so that the attachment screw could go through the top hole on the side of the ****.

Not a bad idea. I also agree that it is a bit too tall with the stock ****.

Finished up mine last week. I have used the MGW shifter in the last 4 Vettes. It feels like a different car . Congrats to the OP , it looks great in your car.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I put about 75 miles on it today and it feels great! I've got the hang of it now. It really changes the way the car feels.

As I'm sitting here with the snow falling outside, I'm so tempted to pull the trigger on one of these today and install before spring.

At first I wanted to keep the stock shifter, but that gripper **** looks fantastic...

Do it, I think you will like it. Shorter throws, a little more effort but very precise.

Don't hesitate! And yes, definitely go with one of their shifters. I love the style of the gripper **** and it feels awesome. You can tell when you open the package it's all high quality stuff.

I highly recommend it. It’s one of the best mod you can do for your car. I’ve had mine for a year now and it’s been amazing. Gripper ****, Race ****, I’ve tried both and both are great. I like the feel of the Race **** better.
