U0073/U0100 code help update
Hi,
i have an updated on the codes in title. 09 base corvette automatic 75000 miles, they were intermittent, some days no issues then some times I would get the abs & brake warning light the chime and car would default to second gear. You would have to pull over shut down car then restart and most times
everything would reset until it happed again. I did get some great information on this site, I checked the transmission electrical connections, all body frame grounds, all electrical connections at passenger foot area, checked electrical connections around and below battery and inside passenger front fender. All pins, wires, connections were perfect condition. The verbal information I was getting from some of the local shops is that a module inside the transmission is probably failing. I decided to put car on jacks start it and put car in drive at this point the lights were on and codes were active and failed into second gear I started checking all fuses in the front fender fuse box for a failed fuse when I pulled the mini fuse labeled abs the transmission changed gear, I went and checked for U codes and they are gone, of course the abs/ brake light is on steady now. Been driving the car for 4 weeks with the abs fuse removed and transmission is working great and no U codes, I do need to figure out the abs problem now, I will update what I find on abs when I get a chance. it is a second car I do enjoy learning/ tinkering on it and I had a bad experience taking it to a local corvette shop for some work a couple years ago. That’s why I am doing everything I can, the transmission cable broke a while back and the radiator fan connector melted both of those left me on the side of the road broken over the years also.
