When I saw the thread I was going to say 18 from memory on the LS1. Seeing as the bolts are the same I would have thought it was the same for the LS2 and LS3.
if you did not replace the bolts with new ones I would highly recommend you do so. They are chintzy little bolts notorious for breaking and getting stuck in the heads. Anything with 50,000 miles on should have them replaced as a maintenance item.
I always do 11 to 12 on the first pass starting from the center and then alternating back and forth from the center out. I then do a 18 or a little more, like 20 on a second pass, center out. Definitely a good time to upgrade to ARP bolts. Also, make sure to use a bit of anti-seize on the bolts.

If you care about correct torque, then you have over-tightened the bolts up to double. 18 is the dry torque spec. I'm not sure what's in anti-seize, but it kind of looks like graphite. If so, 9 ft-lbs would have been the spec. Probably won't hurt the bolts, but what about the threads in the head? Just my .02
