I finally installed the intake covers that I ordered last fall. I did have to cut and grind in a few areas to get them to fit correctly, but I think they look good and add the right amount of color under the hood
Looks Great! Whom did you get them from & why was the cutting & grinding needed? I'm asking because I thinking about doing the same as you. Thanks.
Thanks,
I got them from RPI.
The biggest reason for the trimming Is my profession, I am a toolmaker/cnc programmer. If it isn't a perfect fit I am not happy.... These are 2 pieces, in the areas that go under the fuel rail cross over it was a very tight fit and would cause each opposite ends to pop up. I thought it would cause the double sided tape to loosen over time. The other area was on the driver's side rear cover, the cover wouldn't go under the fuel rail supply line so I just cut it off, it was never seen since it is under the coil cover so no problem.
NICE, is that the Inferno color? Is that the original cover and you painted it? If so I guess you had to remove the fuel rail?
It is Inferno Orange & the original cover. I didn’t have to remove the fuel rails, just popped them up a little to slide the cover out & back in. I’ve got a post on here somewhere walking through the process.
