Wow, good luck to you.

Does it have a clean title? If not I would seriously consider the track car route.

Looks like European headlights.....weird.

WOW!!!! You have a great deal of work to do to get this road worthy. It has been in an accident, pieces missing, front bumper foam missing. ECU just hanging by the wires.
Good luck with the task ahead.

Document your build/fix. It will be VERY satisfying when you are done and have a nice(r) looking C6. Have fun with it!

definitely will do! I’ve repaired many cars. This one happens to have many many small things, but it should be fun.

Great candidate for some bondo and a wrap. It will look 99% better.

I'll be interesting to see how everything turns out so keep the up-dates coming. What are you planning on doing with the body work, are you just going to get new parts?

OP, your last post makes me think you solved your pink wire issue. I'm almost certain its the wire to the airbag inside the steering wheel if you haven't. I also bought a poor condition c6 and built it on the cheap. 👍

I found someone offering all arctic white factory body for $1000 shipped, but I already started repairing the aftermarket body using fiberglass and bondo (i'm super impatient). I'll see how smooth I can get things after some wet sanding, and I may just have them painted.

I'm also tossing around the idea of pulling the factory leather off the seats and cutting a template to have custom seats stitched up or taking it to a professional upholstry place to get some custom work done. The interior isn't terrible, but i'd like to clean things up a bit. The major thing is a drivers seat tear, and what seams to be a burn mark through the trunk carpet.

I'm picking up a few used tires this weekend on craigslist... for science.... not for burnouts.... they're.... for a friend? I'll let you guys know if I blow the transmission.

Yes. I did. I downloaded a wiring diagram, but the wire colors were semi faded so it took some trial and error to figure things out. The airbag lights have turned off and not turned on, and my understanding is that the computer constantly checks for faults. I was scared it would be a shorted seat rail or pre-tensioner or something. I'm not sure how complex the srs systems are in these cars, but I know on my last s2000 and g37 it was a nightmare to fix.

$1000 sounds like a really good deal for everything if it's in good shape, it would sure save you a lot of work and potential headaches dealing with fiberglass and bondo.

There is one quarter panel that needs a lot of sanding, and a broken bracket which i've already repaired. The rest of the panels aren't in super bad shape. The front bumper needs some tlc, and a few of the screw points need some reinforcement. My only concern is that the panels on the car are technically aftermarket wide body and the wheels tuck perfectly into the wells with no rub. With the factory panels, I would definitely have issues with fender lining rub and would have to raise the car up significantly. I'm not looking to make the car into trailer queen. I'm torn as to what to do.

Just a heads up for your part search, there is a forum vendor here aescorvetteparts.com with everything you could want, of course it's all used, but I have dealt with them without issue.

Good luck with your project.

If this was a boat, it definitely would not be floating.

Decided the ecu may be safer not dangling 1” from the ground.

whew! Much better on the new bracket mounted. Harness wires will be zip tied neatly.

New sway bar end links going in. Uneven tire wear from massive front camber. If lowering on stock bolts do I need a camber kit or just new tires every 2 months?

new door has arrived
