Review the units on Crutchfield - you can narrow down by functionality you want. Don't pay attention to the "won't fit" message for many of the double dins. You can come back here and find out what you may have to do for getting the OEM look. For example they said mine wouldn't fit. All I had to shave the top part of the bezel to ensure the face plate could open / close properly. It's a great unit (Pioneer AVH-W4400) and you can't tell I had the modify the bezel a little.
I'm a fan of Pioneer myself, I'd suggest their top of the line AVIC 8500 NEX, it has all the bells and whistles. What do you currently have for a stock system ?
I went with the Sony XAV-AX5000 after seeing some photos here. Some prefer the Kenwood but I preferred the appearance of the Sony. I had Crutchfield do the ready harness and it took longer to remove the console than it did to install the head unit. It sounds great to me on the stock speakers.
These pics are before I made a simple adjustment to the bezel to fit in the console a little better in that upper right corner.
Overall, I’m more than pleased with it, and it was on sale when I purchased so with all the wiring I think I was into it for about $450. I may replace speakers some time down the road but for now it is a major improvement over the stock HU.
Kenwood. If you have an iPhone or Android don't worry about getting a unit with built in navigation. Your phone connected to the unit will do a much better job at that.
A few people here are also using an alpine system that has a very shallow depth which allows for all the wires to tuck in easily behind it. I don’t remember the model number off the top of my head
