Default Soler Throttle Controller 06-08 installed

I contacted Mike about one of these for the earlier C6 cars which are not available. He said they have one done and would like a test vehicle for this. I gladly said ye sand it arrived yesterday. I installed it this morning. It took longer to wait for the power to go off with the door open and remove the cover under the dash than the install. You pull the plug off the pedal and plug in the 2 pigtails and small module and your done. Hit the power push a few buttons and your done. 15 minutes at best. Now the fun part. I always felt the pedal was "mushy" in the lower travel. There are many settings and I went with the recommended sport mode 5 setting. Wow was response different. Usually 1/3 pedal travel gets you moving. Now less than that and the car is burning rubber. Much more responsive. Probably would not give it to my wife to drive like this but for me it was great. Took it out for about 50 miles, some of it pretty aggressive. Never a code or any issues at all. Throttle was much more responsive. Nice thing about this at the touch of a button I can go back to a "softer" mode if need be. Here is where I put my controller. Easy to get at but out of the way also. It has about 2 feet of cable so it can be put in many other locations. All personal preference So if you have an 06-08 now you have an option to get one of these. For the price you can't beat it.

Soooo...this basically gives you increased throttle body action with less input at the pedal. Am I missing something? How much is this?

Yes you are correct. There are multiple settings for how responsive it is. You can be more aggressive or less aggressive than factory settings. I have it set at their recommended settings and there are way more aggressive settings. I cant imagine more but some may want it. I am extremely pleased with the throttle response with this. I probably should have been arrested today but. I was on some back country roads having some fun. Nobody was around.

I want one. How long until you expect them to be readily available for my 07 base?

Carl, the 05's have a different ECM, the competition does not offer them for 05's either, there must be a good reason. We need to find out exactly why and what can be done about it. Do you have a 2005?

Yes i have a 05 i have just picked up, and is in storage till weather clears here in ny... I had a 2006 orig , and sold it to get in a classic 69 firebird and didnt care for it so i sold it this past December ..
My 2006 had a tuners tune and booster for throttle .(COW) and was great, and without tune pedal was mush... But when i drove my new used 05 home from dealer i thought throttle on the stock 05 was alot better than my stock 06 tune.

Default Soler TC

My TC came in the mail Saturday afternoon and I installed it today.
Took me less than 20 minutes including unpacking the box.
I programmed it and set it to SP-1 initially and even at that low setting the throttle response was much better.
Worked my way through the settings to SP5. This is where I will likely keep it after a bit more experimentation.
Pretty good bang for your buck at $75

Love mine on my 09. Mine stays set on 1.8 most of the time. Down shifts are so much easier now. To me this is the best mod so far.

Mike, how about posting link(s) to ordering screen.
More owners will respond if process is streamlined some like w/ a direct link.
Since I've been watching/waiting for early C6 compatibility, I'd be one.

ya i would like to know why other brand never did one for 2005.. I know its a different ecm but,
I had a 2006 automatic that pedal was pretty mushy in stock form but i now own a 2005 and pedal is great compared to the 2006 i use to own... Maybe there is good reason no other company did one for a 2005 but i would like to know why. Not needed ????

I have a 2005 manual with the LS2. Previous owner had some engine work done and it is supposed to have 525 HP now. It has a bigger cam for sure, but I really don't know what else other than intake and exhaust. I do know he put a lot of $$$ into it and I am very happy that he did because I am loving every minute of driving it. It would be great to try a different TB and see what happens. Let me know if I can help.
