You have a cat-back system which includes the intermediate pipe (y-pipe) and the mufflers
Then you have an axle-back system which is only the mufflers .... this system would connect directly to your stock y-pipe
Using the same mufflers, there would be no difference in sound between the two systems.
If you don't want to install a set of headers, just get an axle-back system of your choice in which you like the sound of.
Just remember, changing mufflers effects the sound of your exhaust system, but gives very very little to no HP increase over the stock mufflers.
