Hey guys, so we have yet run into ANOTHER snag getting my build done.
JDP Motorsports has done a phenomenal job at doing all they can. My car has now been in the shop for 3 1/2 weeks, taking up a rack, which hinders their business. All parts were ordered 3 months ago (12/3/19) to be exact. We didnt get the EastCoastSupercharging Novi 1500 kit until 3 1/2 weeks ago and EVEN THEN IT WAS NOT COMPLETE. We finally got the head unit directly from Paxton last week. I didnt have to go with ECS, I could have easily went with A&A but, Jordan at JDP said they are both solid kits so it was really a flip of a coin. If i knew then what i know now, I would have gone A&A. No offense to ECS because i am sure the kit is great but, as far as a timeline, its been ridiculous.
So here is the new issue we are running into, The 2005 MAF has us limited at around 6000rpm, we need to upgrade the sensors which we are doing now BUT we are now needing a new inlet pipe from EastCoastSupercharging to fit the new sensors. Not to be pessimistic but, given my experience waiting on parts from ECS, I will have my car finished next October...
On a positive note, the car is making around 560whp limited at 6000rpm. We will be 600 +/- after the new sensors.

No reason for the 05 MAF to be limited to 6000.My A&A 05 car with stock MAF will rev to what ever rpm you desire and is tuned to shift at 6,800 on the 1-2 shift making 650rwhp

ECS is sending me the duct pipe for the LS3. For whatever reason JDP when tuning says my 05 MAP & MAF sensor is fighting him at 6000?
Even running the stock MAF with correct scaling for same and stock MAP I never had an issue with it.I later changed to a 2.5 bar MAP sensor with correct offset and linear values so as to read boost properly.Your tuner may not be as experienced as you may think

i don’t know enough about tuning to know exactly what he was telling me. He did mention that if I were to take the car to sea level or the mountains the car would either run rich or lean with the stock sensors.
Ditto, Maf should be fine with the boost amount of flow through it corrected.
My guess is either map sensor not a 2.5 bar/forgot to flash in for linear 2.5 bar in HP tuner, or tuner is not finding his own self induced problems instead.
