Default Build Threads

Why are there no build threads on this site? I'm coming from owning a Supra to owning a vette (lol, I bought my vette over 4 years ago...) But I always thought it was strange that there was never a section of this forum for people to show off what they're doing to their vettes. I loved that about Supramania.com... Could just browse through the build threads section for hours. Really helped the imagination in some cases!

I was definitely surprised to not see any build threads on here as well. I’m on various forums, tacomaworld, 600rr, stang net, and T4R. I have at least one build thread on all of them and a lot of ideas come from others.

I vote for a build thread section!

There are plenty of build threads on here, myself included. The search option on here sucks though you are better using google to search and put corvette forum in the search.

Usually see them posted as results threads for various mods. There are several going back many years. Not as many build from start to finish as seen on some other sites (ls1tech.com comes to mind as having several).

Agree, really enjoy reading them when they do pop up. As well as the results threads.

Would definitely get more foot traffic and be super easy to find if they were all in one area! I didn't even know any existed lol.. Which is really why I've been pretty much a lurker here.

Here's a few...

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...o-numbers.html

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ast-heads.html

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...1-results.html

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...o-results.html

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-485-rwhp.html

Those are ones I happened to subscribe to while reading to go back to occasionally. Again, there are many. Those were just easy for me to grab due to subscription.

Here's personal when added cam, then heads...

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...no-sheets.html

Agreed, would be nice to have a consolidation. Great threads to read through. Perhaps others will post links to have in this thread for reference.

Excellent! Now I have some things to read though. Maybe I should just add these links (and any future ones) to the OP to make them easy to find.

I’m going to start one just because I like to keep track of all the things I do to it, plus I can’t stop taking pics of it.

My “builds” are typically very mild, but I have done a bunch in the short time I’ve owned the car.

I have one on the way, just upgraded fuel system and supercharger cooling system on my 2010 ZR1.

Doing heads next with ARH headers with full 2500 he hot coating. Keeping track of everything but I want to get most of it done so I don’t have a thread hanging around with a partially finished car. I guess this motivates me to start the thread a little early.

Lol potentially the age of the car - hasn't filtered down yet ?

However there are build threads floating around, perhaps not as many as the super-hyper supra crowd.
