If you mean battery maintainer, it depends on how often you are driving the car. Just like any other time of year.

Get yourself a CTEK 7002 which is the best automobile battery tender on the market. It's about $105 on Amazon. Get yourself the cigarette/power outlet connector adaptor, which is another $15, if your C6 has a power outlet in the rear hatch like the C7 does. Then connect any of your vehicles, including your C6 if you wish, to the this incredible battery tender and you'll never have to concern yourself with a dead battery. Leave it connected and it will prolong the lifetime of your battery as well.

Battery maintainer. There IS NO best on the market, only what's best for each individual. Del Tran battery tender is one of the most popular.

I use the Optima maintainer. I use it when ever I’m not driving the car.
It’s the best on the market. Lolol. It’s just incredible.
Mine is tapped into the battery so I just plug it in when I park. It’s mounted on the wall next to the car. Never an issue.

If I didn't have all my Deltran maintainers (4 bank and a single) I would probably have that. I have Optima batteries.

I keep a Battery Tender Plus hooked up anytime summer or winter when I know I won't be driving the Vette for more than 2 or 3 days. In 15 years, only on my 2nd battery (Optima Red Top) with never a battery problem.

I really like them. I got this one from by buddy that runs Optima’s Ultimate Street Car Challenge. And I have another one New in the box I won at the Optima booth at SEMA last year.
I like that it has the readings and gauge right there and easy to read.

Default Lots of options out there

Schumacher electric 1.5 amp battery maintainer for @ $35, secured it to the top of the fuse box with hot lead onto the box post and grounded on the front passenger exhaust manifold bolt (07 Z06).

I've been using a Black + Decker Battery Maintainer on all my classic cars for the past 15 years. They are the best on the market... but even better... they are only $20 on Amazon.

CTEK is a more versatile and capable maintainer than the Optima. CTEK can maintian Optima Yellow Top batteries which are used in automobile applications. Deltran and Optima maintainers do not have the Power "Supply Mode". This feature alone is worth purchasing a CTEK. If you have this mode turned on while connected to your vehicle it can keep vehcile systems continuously charged should you ever need to swap out the vehicle battery. This will maintain proper voltage in the vehicle so you will not lose vehicle settings typically lost when removing a battery and you will not have to reindex you windows or lose any Navigation settings. Additionally, CTEK can be used to charge and maintain boats with start & service batteries, boats with start & service banks, scooters, motorcycles, Quads/ATVs, lawnmowers, RVs, and tractors. Optima 400 maintainer is limited for use on Optima batteries. CTEK also has the ability to desulphation of lead batteries. This feature can bring back apparent dead lead-based batteries back to life.

No disrespect but Deltran battery tenders can do anything any maintainer can. I’ve been using them for 20 years and I have a yellow top Optima.

Why are CTEK tenders offered and recommended by most high end automobile manufacturers? Porsche, BMW, MB, Bentley, Audi, Ferrari and GM and others all recommend CTEK tenders.

cause there some of the most expensive so they can make a profit
a high end dealer wouldnt suggest a Black and Decker or something like those cheaper units.

If you ever order a custom Corvette from the factory (possibly other GM Vehicles do as well) they offer a option to purchase a "Battery Protection Package". This package is the CTEK battery maintainer. This has been offered on all C7 and now C8 vehicles. I don't know if it was available on the C6. CTEK has more useful features than Optima.
