Default Billy Boat shipping issues?

Hey guys,

Was just curious if anyone else is having issues with Billy Boat and receiving their parts from them? I ordered their PRT exhaust system towards the end of January from Southern Car parts and I have yet to receive it. I reach out to Southern Car parts and Billy Boat and I haven't really gotten a response that explains the huge delay. I understand there is a COVID-19 pandemic going on, but if I received a little communication from them I would feel better about the whole situation.

Was just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about it or is dealing with the same thing?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure about Billy Boat but I know for a fact that some of the wheel factories are shut down because if the virus.

Does seem like along time, no communication(s) is troublesome.

FWIW ordered a DVD off eBay, turned out vendor's in LA.
After 30 days asked for & received a refund.
Then it finally arrived, tho' no tracking # from LA out.

Things are severely screwed up now, especially SCA.
Don't believe exhausts are 'essential', they're likely shutdown.

Who would think realtors would be considered essential? You never know who's shutdown anymore.

I have purchased from SCP without any problems and no correspondence issues. Did SCP's say that it was shipped? If so get a tracking #.

A year and half ago I ordered headers from them directly and was told I would have them in two weeks. After three weeks I called and they said they were being made now and I would have them next week. A week later I called again and was told the same thing. This went on for another two weeks before I told them to stick it. Took two more phone calls and another week before they refunded me. I ordered arh headers from summit and had them in two days.

Yep. Ordered a set of fusions for my Z on March 8. Was told 2-3 week lead time. For the last several weeks, I’ve inquired weekly. Each time I’ve been told “they will ship the end of this week or beginning of next…” If I don’t have tracking info by Wednesday, I’ll be cancelling. I hear Corsa makes a nice axleback.

Billy Boat moved their facility right before the Covid out break. So they were already way behind, and then the Pandemic hit making it hard to get materials etc...

Moving the business, pandemic outbreaks, hard-to-get materials. All fine. What I can’t endorse is being told “it’s shipping this week”, week after week. Vendors need to tell the truth to their customers when thousands of dollars are involved. I was assured that they were working at “full capacity” during one of my many phone calls with them.

Did they move out of Phoenix,? Wow they where right down the street from me (few miles). They started here back in the 60’s I think. Surprised they moved.

I was under the impression you could order direct from them, instead of using a vendor, at least it seemed that way when I called them.

Yes you can order direct from them, but since I have a terrible exhaust addiction I know that Southern car parts has the PRT for $100s less than anyone else.

You heard right. I've had both the Sport (c5) and the Extreme (c6). Installed both in my driveway. Very happy with fitment, quality and sound. No drone.

I’m picking my car up from heads, intake, headers and X-pipe Monday. I’ll make a decision after I hear what it sounds like. I was looking forward to the fusions to keep my npp function, but if BBE doesn’t quit fooling around, they’ll lose a sale.

I’d be fine with delays in manufacturing/shipping if only the place was honest about them. Don’t tell me they will ship this week if they’re not shipping this week. Easy enough.

We have been running behind in production since our move and we have a reduced staff during this time, which is hurting our ability to ramp up on some parts. I can say the quality and workmanship of our parts has never been better and I am very happy with the talent of our employees,. I just need more of them. We hope to get back to normal lead times soon.

Please feel free to direct any questions directly to me at bill@bbexhaust.com or at 704 660-1955

You were using the same "you'll have it next week" excuse a year and half ago.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you publicly for sending me the hanger for the Bullets. This happened during your move and right before the lockdown.

I no longer have that car, but still have the Exhaust.

I meant to follow up on the thread, but forgot.
