Are you certain about that? I travel 15 between L.A. and L.V. several times a year, and it is common to see vehicle travelling over 100, and I am sometimes one of them. If you are correct, I will have to change my ways.

I lived in the SF Bay Area until 2008, and it was commonly known. I know people on bikes and cars taken to jail, and their vehicles towed. They kept them for 30 days. I don't believe anyone did time though. And there was huge fine. Just like anytime, the cops will nab one person even if everyone was speeding. I know someone who got nabbed near the Grapevine. I try not to be the rabbit, or the one bringing up the rear when speeding.
