Just wondering if anyone has any feed back on Dr Colourchip or similar products? I have a Torch red C6 with some ever so small chips on bumper, bonnet and mirrors and my OCD is kicking in so want to get them sorted. Looking on youtube and online it looks like excellent results for the money. Would love to hear any feed back with applying and long term results.
RedC6Ed, 1) You should take your concerns to the Car Care Section
2) Are your small chips thru the clear coat into the base coat ????
3) On my Inferno Orange car I used a AC Delco touch up Pen. Wearing a headlamp
and holding magnifying glass in one hand and the pen in other you just "dab" a drop into
the chip/hole. I let it dry for a day and then used my orbital buffer and a fine cutting polish
to remove the Blob............Im no Expert but this work for me
4) On my clearcoat chips I was able to just polish the clear enough so as to remove "most"
of the imperfection
There are a lot of threads on this at the AutoGeek.com forums and on YOUTUBE
I think Dr color chip yields ok results. I think touchup paint would be better. Dr color chip can scrape away. It’s not as permanent as paint. I’ve used both.
Thank you for all the feed back. Yes its through the clear and base coat - there are just specs of white (about 8 spots all up on car) I do have some touch up paint that came with car so maybe I should try apply it and then gently buff it a day later like you say.

I had a 2001 Torch Red coupe that received over 20 little chips when I got stuck behind an idiot with a small trailer that had carried small rocks and there were still some left in it and they were falling out. Before I got a chance to get away the damage was done. I ordered the Dr Colorchip kit and followed the instructions and it was almost impossible to see where they were fixed. I knew but still had a problem spotting them. My cars are well taken care of and until just a few months ago would get clayed and machine polished twice a year. The Dr Colorchip never came off
