Targa Top latch
Good morning,
This is probably a dumb question, but I'm asking anyway. I took the top out of my car when I got it 2 days ago and now want to put it back in. Is there a release latch somewhere in the back like in a c-5? I put it in there and it clicked. I tugged a little on it yesterday and briefly looked for a latch, but didn't see it. It's in the garage so it's no big deal at the moment. The manual doesn't say anything about a release latch. I did get caught in my c-5 on a bridge in a Florida afternoon thunderstorm with the top out so I need to figure out how to get the top back on before I venture out on a cloudy day!

I'll reply to myself on this one. Not sure how much the previous owner of my car had the roof out. The clips that hold the roof were just very snug. I pulled a little harder this morning and it popped out.

You got caught in a thunderstorm out of nowhere in Florida? Say it ain't so. As you figured out, there's no latch. On the front of the top where the holes are on each side, there are plastic trim pieces that are just clicked in there like most trim is in a car. On mine, every now and then, I'll pull my top out of the back to re-install it and find that one of those trim pieces came out and stayed in the back of the car. They are easy enough to just click back in place before re-installing the top.
So, have any pix been posted yet of this long sought after yellow C6?
