Are you crazy? If you are I guess I', crazy right with you. I have a 2013 2LT base coupe, CRM, chrome wheels with the performance exhaust. Ordered from Tommy at MacMulkin and did the Museum delivery. I have no intention of trading for a C7 or C8. To me the C6 is the last of the Corvette body style. IMO the C7 (while they are great vehicles) they look like something out of a Transformer movie.

Same with me, only with the C5. I've owned four C5s, including my two current supercharged ones.

I'm not in the buying mood.......but I'd sell my C6 GS and buy a C7 in a heartbeat.

C6 an C7 are both adjustable. People just don't adjust them, or like to complain.

I am from that section and as a former C6 owner I can say that had my 07 been manual there is a very high probability that I would have just kept her rather than buy my 2019 M7, the C6 is a good looking and fun car.

IMHO, I'll not go beyond my '05. The 05 has 95% of the performance of a C7 or even a C8. Also, it is at the limit for me personally, of a sports car that I can enjoy, drive, and work on. I don't need to run to the dealer (who can't fix s**t) every time my car acts up and/or hiccups.

Saleen, you are certainly correct here. However, with a C7, you will always be carrying along a bunch of extra engine stuff, e.g.:
A network of electro-hydraulic equipment on the underside of the valley cover
Many lins of extra code in the ECM
16 lifters that don't all match
An engine block with special cast-in risers
Exhaust system and driveline design tweaks to minimize 8-4 transition effects

If you opine that this stuff almost never cause any problems, you are also correct on this too. But there are a few of us who prefer a simple Corvette without this extra stuff.

I definitely agree it would be nice to not have all the extra stuff. However overall I’ve been very happy with my C7Z M7. It never sees Eco so I’ve not dealt with the 4 cylinder mode. Gets great mileage on the highway considering the 650 hp. But most likely my one and only Corvette as the C8 just doesn’t do anything for me.

I love the LS3 engine. I hate the idea of cylinder deactivation, carbon buildup and I have heard that tuning the LT1 is far more difficult. I would prefer a C7 with an engine swap to a LS3. But I honestly can't fathom spending that kind of money on a C7 and then going through the cost and hassle to do an engine swap that would be considered a down grade. So I am seriously considering buying an 08+ C6 with a manual transmission and then spending $1,200 on the Morimoto C7 style headlight kit because I was never a fan of the C6 headlight design.

Is that crazy?
I just sold my C7 and went back to a C6. I HATED the C7 seats. They were just horribly uncomfortable. I will say the LT1 C7 engine is an absolute beast. Much more noticeable power stock for stock. The C7 in my opinion is just a better all around car but much more expensive obviously. Do what makes you happy. Listen to your gut, mine's usually right.
