When I painted, and cleared my bezels, I let them dry for 48 hours before I installed the lenses. They turned out Ok, and I didn't see any issues with off gassing.
The assemblies are vented, and one can remove the rubber seals in the back of the assemblies if you think you need more dry time with the lenses installed.
I'm no painter, so this is going by what i did, with no ill effects.
