I am attempting to change my air filter on my LS3 and cannot remove the plug to my MAF sensor. I pulled out the grey clip on the bottom of the plug but it won’t budge. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to unplug it?
U lock tab on the bottom, that you need to press inwards on the connector to release it.
If you are having problems, then remove the screws so you can pull the Maf sensor with connector still attached, to flip it over to see the lock tab, and where you need to press in to release the connector from the sensor lock piece.
As Dano523 posted, just remove the 2 screws & the whole maf assembly will come out
this is the method I finally used to unplug the maf. I ended up not changing the air filter because it looked like new. After 30k miles, no signs of dirt . When reinstalling the maf, I did not reinstall that grey piece of plastic that slides underneath. Seems like a useless part that makes it difficult to uninstall the sensor.
thank you for the support.
