Got my 07 from a dealer in St. Louis and had them replace battery before they shipped here in Feb. I finally got the title transferred here in Ohio the other day after they reopened from the Covid crap. It also required me to get an echeck before I can get plates. Went there and was told it is not showing codes and asked if any work had been done or battery replaced. When I told them the battery was replaced, they told me to go drive it to get codes back....sigh
I already had driven it a little over a hundred miles so was scratching my head on how friggin' long it takes to get codes back. Any thoughts or experiences? I called the Chevy service dept and was told it could be one hundred miles or five hundred! Is he correct?
Do a Google search on Chevrolet (General Motors) drive cycle. It will tell you the specific parameters you must meet/drive to clear the OBDII requirements such as EVAP.

This is slightly confusing. I't's NOT showing any codes and you want it to??
I have the exact problem on my new to me- 6,000 mile 2013 427 anniversary model. No codes but a problem with the EVAP. I was told to keep driving it. I bought it from an exotic car place and had it shipped from Michigan. The dealer at the showroom owner put in a new battery since it sat inside for 2 months. I drove about 100 miles and no luck yet.

Read the GM list stated above. I did that over the last several days and will check Monday at E-Check to see if it can be read.

The EVAP monitor is one of the hardest to reset. The fuel level must be between 15-85% and the computer needs to see a cold start, hot start, consistent ~50 mph for a few miles, along with a few other scenarios I can't remember. You can "force" it to run with a Tech II, otherwise a few days to a week of normal driving should set it.
SOB......I did the GM list and additional miles to establish the damn puter....and it failed again at Echeck! I am so pissed. Over half a tank of gas and over 200 miles....nada. It has 13k on the vette so not like it is a 200k junker.
Whatever engineer came up with this system is truly an idiot and Ohio....your Echeck is truly a place I would love to burn down! I hate wasting money and time on such stupid chit!
I had the same problem. I replaced the battery right before I had to get a smog check(i'm in CA). My vette wouldn't pass smog, so I was told to drive my car for a couple of days and go back. So I drove the car for 5 days, drove about 25 miles each day, regular driving (60-75 mph). I went back and still didn't pass. My O2 sensors were not working, I was getting a code. So next morning, I drove about 100 miles at a steady speed (50-55 mph), I went back and it passed. So you might want to try that. Good luck!!!!!
Good luck! I now have 250 miles on mine with two codes still not reset. I got a 30 day extension from Motor Vehicle. I currently have 9 vehicles and do not enjoy putting unnecessary miles on a vehicle for absolute nonsense. If your out enjoying yourself that’s your business, but just putting wasted miles waiting for codes to reset is very frustrating, and unnecessary.

Yes mine is also a 427, Car is beautiful runs great, this in my opinion has always been Chevrolet’s problem, they build beautiful cars but they don’t have the ability to either fix them or quality control for consistency. I bought my wife a brand new 2016 which had the Engine Seize at 2000 miles the result of a bad main bearing. GM bought the car back and we replaced it with a more expensive 2016 more options for pocket change but my wife was still not happy. When the Engine Seized on the Highway electrical power was lost and she and a guest were locked in the car stuck on the highway. I had showed passenger emergency door release and she was able to open doors. Fortunately police arrived to protect vehicle from oncoming traffic until car could be picked up by flatbed.
Quite an experience.

Currently I’m into week two, at this point only one more code is needed. I have now purchased necessary equipment to retain codes on any future battery replacements.

I couldn’t agree more, a relatively simple fix to simply reset system after 100 miles as a fail safe. Probably same idiot responsible for several Deaths Already with the Ridiculous Electric Door Openers. What’s the point?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their advice with this issue. I’m going to keep driving and will post when it finally decides to reset.
