I know this is an evap leak but is it possible this would cause a major misfire?
I looked at an 08 z06, no idea what is really done to the car, neither does the dealer, but they let me use a scanner and this is the only code that's showing up. car has kooks long tube, o/r x pipe and borla catback definitely. it sounds like it has a cam but I can't be certain

Did you happen to get a video of the car while running?

no, I should have. I didn’t think about that until after I left.
car has stock intake, intake manifold, stock coil packs and plug wires. The miss and the exhaust is probably why it sounds like it has a cam but the heads look new.
Any dealer unaware of a car on their lot showing an active code is not a dealer I'd do business with.
Evap sols go bad, most of us have either had it replaced or did it themselves.
My '08 threw the code, LS7 seemed to run fine though.
Ask dealer replace ES & clear code, only way to know if it is/was ES related.
IDK, kind of doubt it, if it isn't the source w/could be a real can of worms.
If I’m not mistaken, the early Z06s had issues with valves dropping. Head replacement was the fix.
all z06/ls7 engines suffer from a valvetrain issue and i believe a factory replacement head doesn't solve the problem. The fix is to have your heads sent off and machined in such a way that prevents the problem from happening.
Given the power potential of the ls3, the cost of a replacement engine when it's an ls7, and the ability to remove the top. I would personally go grandsport before I went Z06, all of the looks and all of the ls3 reliability. The only exception would be if I was going to track the car seriously and then I would invest the money in fixing the cylinder heads and move on.
