C6 Aftermarket Hoods
Friends, I just hit a deer and would like to upgrade my hood while replacing bumper and driver side lights. What’s a good manufacturer? Not sure yet which style I want. Thanks for your help!

I have the Anderson Composites carbon fiber world challenge hood.
Love it, fit and finish is excellent. I had it painted and left the vents exposed carbon and clear coated.

That is such an awesome looking hood. I am seriously thinking about getting one.
No hood pins? It works ok with the factory latches?
Gorgeous car!

I did a lot of research and so many people never used pins. I have had it on since about March of 2019.

Thanks!!
Did you find underhood temp, oil temp and engine cooling temp lowered? That is my goal. I am running a supercharger and headers so underhood temp and oil\coolant temps are pretty high.
That fact that it looks awesome makes it hard to resist too. LOL

I would stay away from Carbon Creationz. Paid a very reputable bodyshop to install mine and the fit was still awful. 3 years later the gel coat is cracked and faded, the whole thing looks terrible.

+1 to avoid Carbon Creations/ Duraflex hoods. Took serious amount of work to just get the hood to be “ok”.

I was never a fan of the extra vents (everyone else seems to love). I love the B92 hood. May end up getting a replica of that. There are a few cowl-induction type hoods that look great too. C6 hood game is weak for the most part.

All the hoods I seem to find are Pin only. Well I should say the decent looking ones are pin only. I javent seen many that use existing hardware hinge/latches. I avoid all RKsport hoods. Had to many issues in the past with them.
